How We Can Help Defendants in Northfield Municipal Court

In New Jersey, even minor crimes can have significant consequences—including fines, probation, and even jail time. Additionally, a criminal conviction, even for the most minor offense, can stay on your criminal record for years to come. That's why it's important to have an experienced attorney in your corner when appearing in municipal court, even if you're answering for a lesser offense. An attorney with specific municipal court experience will understand the workings of the court and know the best strategies for getting you a favorable outcome--whether it's negotiating for downgraded charges, lenient penalties, or even having the charges dropped. Furthermore, if you are eligible for a diversionary program such as Pre-Trial Intervention or Conditional Discharge, your attorney can coordinate the application process to give you the best chance of acceptance. Completing the program will result in your charges being dismissed so you can avoid a criminal record.
