Initial hearings for indictable offenses may be held at municipal court before being referred to Atlantic County Superior Court at Mays Landing. A municipal court judge on-call can also issue immediate restraining orders as needed during off hours when Superior Court is closed. Under a shared services agreement, Longport Municipal Court cases are also heard at Margate Municipal Court.
