As of Jan. 2022, Hamilton Township Municipal Court has consolidated with the newly opened Central Municipal Court of Atlantic County in Mays Landing. The municipal court primarily handles traffic and ordinance infractions, as well as minor disorderly persons charges that fall within township jurisdiction. More serious indictable offenses are handled by Atlantic County Superior Court, which is also located in Mays Landing. If emergency temporary restraining orders are needed during holidays, weekends, or off-hours when Superior Court is not in session, one of the municipal judges on-call can issue them.
