A Closer Look at Vineland, NJ

Located in northern Cumberland County, what is now the City of Vineland began as a planned community by Charles K. Landis during the 1860s and 1870s. Originally established as a "temperance community" (i.e., a dry town), it was soon ironically discovered that the soil was ideal for grape growing (hence the city's current name), and soon attracted Italian grape growers to establish vineyards here. Welch's Grape Juice was originally founded in Vineland and has since moved to Massachusetts. Today, home to around 61,000 people, Vineland is the most populous community in Cumberland County. It is no longer a dry town.

Why You Need Legal Representation in Municipal Court

Although offenses handled in municipal court are often less severe than those in higher courts, a conviction in New Jersey can still carry serious consequences. Possible penalties may include jail time, fines, probation, and a lasting mark on your criminal record. The Lento Law Firm's Criminal Defense Team can make a significant difference, increasing your chances of minimizing penalties or even having charges dismissed. We can also help you explore programs for which you may be eligible, such as Conditional Discharge or Pre-Trial Intervention, which can lead to having your charges dropped.
